About Me

Hello, I’m Danielle Mardesen (they/she). I provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for individuals seeking support with life transitions, trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship concerns, and personal growth.

My journey to becoming a therapist began through my own experiences in mental health care, where I saw both the healing impact of compassionate support and the challenges people can face when seeking help. These experiences led me to pursue social work and shape a practice grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person's unique story.

I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore challenges, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace. I am commited to social work and trauma-informed care, particularly through an awareness of how systems meant to help can also cause harm.

I offer in-office and Telehealth appointments with availability on Monday (12 PM–6 PM), Tuesday (10 AM–6 PM), Wednesday (10 AM - 6 PM), Thursday (10 AM–6 PM), and Friday (10 AM–4 PM).

Modalities & Education

I provide client-centered, trauma-informed therapy grounded in respect for each person as the expert of their own lived experience. My approach integrates several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), parts work, and narrative therapy.

I tailor my approach to each individual, recognizing that no two people’s stories are the same. My role is to offer support, collaboration, and tools that align with each client’s unique needs, values, and goals.

Outside the Therapy Office

Outside of the office, I find grounding and joy in creative pursuits, time with loved ones, and quiet, restorative moments. I enjoy slow mornings, meditation, yoga, and spending time with my husband and my cats. I feel most regulated in simple present-moment experiences like sitting in the sun with a cup of coffee, taking deep breaths, or listening to music while driving.

I enjoy cozy, creative hobbies such as knitting, board games, and cozy video games. I am energized by time with friends and spaces that feel warm, grounded, and unhurried.
